New Life Group Beginning March 5th

Hello People’s Church Family,

We are very excited to be launching a NEW Life Group, ‘Formerly Known As’ and we are inviting YOU to come join us!

The focus of our group is discipleship that offers healing, recovery, and freedom from all types of struggles.

Our first 6 week series begins on Wed, March 5, 2025, from 6:30p to 8:30p at People’s Church San Diego, Classroom C.  We will be diving into a series called Goliath Must Fall.

It’s likely you have a giant in your life.  It’s holding you captive, intimidating you with its taunts, and stealing your joy.  Adversaries such as, fear, anger, addiction, and others can take a claim and, before you know it, gain a foothold in your heart.  How do you live as if these giants are dead and silenced once and for all?  In our six-week session we will be examining the David and Goliath story to show you how.

If you are interested in attending, you can request to join on the Church Center App or email us at recovery@peopleschurchsd.org.

We look forward to seeing you there!  If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us but also checkout the FAQs below.

Sincerely,
Jhun and Rose Nebril

FAQs:

How do I sign up for the group?
If you haven’t already, we encourage you to download the app “Church Center” to your smartphone and add People’s Church San Diego.  Then click on ‘Request to Join’ in our Groups Page.  We will be posting updates, schedule, and other group related information on the Church Center app. That will be our main platform of communication.  You can also email us at recovery@peopleschurchsd.org. Please put in the subject line “sign me up” and in the body of the email provide your contact information.

Will there be childcare?
At the moment, childcare will not be available, however, we are working towards making it available for those who may need it.  Please be prayerful in this area of our ministry as we are aware that it is a concern for many. We ask that children not attend group to provide a safe place for everyone.

How often will the group meet?
Once a week on Wednesday night for 6 weeks, beginning on Mar. 5, 2025, from 6:30p – 8:30p.  After 6 weeks we will have a 3 week break before the next 6 week session begins.  During the 3 week break we may plan an event to hang out or participate in a serving opportunity.

Who can come?
Anyone who is looking for a safe place to process their brokenness and struggles. We encourage you to invite friends, family members and co-workers to come. (Must be at least 18 years old)

Do I need to bring anything?
Your bible or a device where you can access an e-bible or bible app, e.g. youversion), a notebook (paper or electronic). And more importantly, a willingness to learn, to be authentic, and connect with others.

Do I need to purchase any books?
Not at this time.  We will let you know if any of the 6 week series will require purchasing books and/or study materials.

Will there be food and do I need to bring food?
Participants will not be asked or required to bring food. The only exception is during our break that we plan as a group. However, if you would like to bless the group with a meal you are more than welcome to do so.  In general, as your host, we will provide a simple meal and/or snacks and beverages at each meeting.
