1. WHAT CHANGES WHEN I COMPLETELY SURRENDER TO GOD?
• MY DAY BECOMES AN ADVENTURE.
“God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of His Son and our master Jesus.” 1 Corinthians 1:9 (MSG)
“By an act of faith, Abraham said [YES] to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going!” Hebrews 11:8 (MSG)
• MY LIFE BECOMES A MIRACLE.
“… [By] His mighty power at work within us, [God is able] to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.” Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

• MY HEART BECOMES PEACEFUL.

2. WHAT KEEPS ME FROM SURRENDERING TO GOD?
• FEAR
What causes fear? IGNORANCE.
• PRIDE
• IDOLATRY
3. WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR ME TO SURRENDER?
• It means I OBEY His WORD.
“Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” Luke 5:5
(Mary) “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants.” Luke 1:38
“Father, everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.”
Matthew 14:36
• It means I TRUST His PROMISES.
“Surrender yourself to the LORD, and wait patiently for him…” Psalm 37:7 (GW)
• It means I ACT on His COMMAND.
“Faith without works is dead.” James 2:14
4. WHAT BENEFIT DO I RECEIVE?
You experience PEACE.
“Stop quarreling with God! If you agree with him, you will have peace at last, and things will go well for you.” Job 22:21
You experience FREEDOM.
“… Offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits … [his] commands set you free to live openly in his freedom!” Romans 6:16
You experience God’s POWER in your life.
“… whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and greater works than these will he do.” John 14:12
There is a moment of surrender, and there is the practice of surrender,
Jesus said, “… Take up your cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23
Paul said, “I die daily.” 1 Corinthians 15:31
Jesus said, “If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing to give up their lives daily to follow me.” Matthew 16:24
